Editor – On behalf of the Rietfontein Sub Committee, who are active in preserving the graves near Sizwe Tropical Disease Hospital, we give sincere thanks to Clr Bill Rundle for his ongoing support.
He has spent many hours of his own time advising us in our endeavours to retain the graves of these adults and children of all religions who died of dreadful diseases.
In addition to the graves, the area is rich with heritage and is home to rare grasslands, numerous birds and small creatures.
We would also like to thank Marian Laserson who has willingly shared her incredible knowledge with us.
Her contribution is gratefully acknowledged.
