The meeting will take place at the Modderfontein Town Hall, 1 Casino Road at 7.30pm on February 15.

Emily Adair, business development team leader at the Green Building Council South Africa, will give a presentation with case studies on the most effective ways to reduce your energy and water usage.

This will cover solutions from zero-cost options to the investment you can make in your home.

Her talk will also include an easy-to-understand guide to get you and your family on the right track to lowering your utility bills and doing your bit for energy and water conservation in the country.

In addition to domestic advice, Emily also guides corporate members on their green building journey.

She has an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management in the Netherlands and a postgraduate diploma in environmental science from Wits University.

She has worked as a business sustainability catalyst in the USA and Europe, and served as the sustainability manager at Standard Bank Group before joining the Green Building Council South Africa.
