Jeppe High School for Girls shine

JOBURG – We wish the Class of 2017 every success in their future endeavours.

Jeppe High School for Girls congratulated all their learners who passed their grade 12 examinations. The school’s Carole Heming said the school is proud of their youngsters’ achievements.

The school’s Headmistress, Dina Gonçalves, thanked their parents and teachers for assisting them with their education over the last 12 years.

“55 girls obtained an average of over 70 per cent. We wish the Class of 2017 every success in their future endeavours” said Gonçalves.

The top performer was Ruth Furber who achieved eight distinctions in English, Afrikaans, mathematics, physical science, life sciences, music, AP maths and life orientation.

Ruth, who attended Rembrandt Park Primary, was also head girl for 2017.

 

Gabriella Olivier.Jasmine Acton, Gabriella Olivier and Kayla Teixeira were awarded six distinctions each.

• Jasmine, who attended Leicester Road School, received distinctions in English, mathematical literacy, history, visual arts, design and life orientation.

• Gabriella, who was home-schooled before attending Jeppe Girls, received distinctions in English, Afrikaans, physical science, history, visual arts and life orientation.

• Kayla, who attended Glenanda Primary, received distinctions in English, Afrikaans, mathematics, accounting, life sciences, and geography.

• Refilwe Mdluli obtained five distinctions.

• Tracey Adams, Sukeina Issufo, Tafadzwa Makhuza, Caitlyn Slaughter, Shelley Nithianandham and Mahima Vandayar each obtained four distinctions.
