Val and Bert celebrate 60 years of marriage

Val and Bert Malyon celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on January 4.

Bert proposed to Val in 1957 and the couple got married early 1958 at the request of Val’s mother.

The couple have two children and four grandchildren. They also recently welcomed their first great grandchild to the family.

This year will also see the celebration of Val’s 80th birthday in April and Bert’s 85th birthday in March.

The two have been residents of Eden Village in Meadowbrook for the last 21 years.
