Five suspects arrested for business robbery

The five suspects confessed that they were working with the security guard and that is how they gained access to the premises.

Five suspects were arrested for business robbery in Sebenza on December 30.

The suspects were caught while loading goods into a truck at one of the businesses in Sebenza.

The security guard was also arrested and charged with perjury.

Tsotsotso said the guard works for a security company, but when they investigated they found he did not belong to the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (Psira).

Tsotsotso urged companies to check whether security companies belong to Psira before contracting them. She said the Sebenza SAPS will be visiting businesses in Sebenza to check whether the security companies they employ belong to Psira.
