Spokesperson for the station, Captain Richard Munyai, said the Johannesburg SAPS East Cluster police officers will be out in full force preventing crime in the area.

“We will make sure that people living and working in and around our police precinct are safe. Those who will be doing business and shopping for their families will do so peacefully knowing that they are safe.”

Munyai warned residents not to drink and drive.

“Residents must not carry large amounts of cash with them.

“Those who are going away for the holidays should make sure they inform their neighbours or get someone to look after their houses to avoid house burlgaries and theft,” he said.

Munyai encouraged residents to report any suspicious activities by calling 10111 or by visiting their nearest police stations.
