SPCA thanks charity shop staff for their time

“Without kind souls like these, we couldn’t do what it is that we need to do.”

The Bedfordview and Germiston SPCA thanked the charity shop staff who volunteer their time to run the charity shop.

The employees – Stephanie Haahjem, Diana Kent, Hilary Mitchley, Alison Hemmant, Stormy Landsman, Cheryl Stead and Sheila Menney – have raised a total of R149 172 this year by selling jumble at the charity shop and Uncle Tim’s market on the first Saturday of every month.

“They are amazing women and dedicate their time to raising funds for the fur babies,” said Nikki van der Riet from the SPCA.

She urged the community to donate old stuff so they can make an even bigger success of their shop.

“Without kind souls like these, we couldn’t do what it is that we need to do.”
