Six primary response vehicles have been added to the Ekurhuleni’s Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS) fleet.
With the new vehicles, DEMS hopes to provide better service delivery to medical emergencies during the festive season.
“Strengthening our resources will improve response time and help those in need,” said William Ntladi, the spokesperson of DEMS.

The new vehicles were unveiled on August 26 and are worth R1 800 000.
Since their launch, the vehicles have been equipped with medical equipment and are in use.
