Rand Aid in-sourced staff enjoy orientation tour

Rand Aid Association’s in-sourcing programme has seen a number of housekeeping staff join the NPO as permanent employees.

Rand Aid Association’s in-sourcing programme has seen a number of housekeeping staff join the NPO as permanent employees.

The positions were previously out-sourced and filled through a recruitment agency.

“At the beginning of July, it was agreed with our contractor that we would take over all the staff from August 1, 2017. The staff members are so excited to finally be fully part of Rand Aid,” said Zabeth Zühlsdorff, Rand Aid’s GM Services and Advance Division.

The seven members of Thornhill Manor’s housekeeping staff who benefited from the in-sourcing initiative went on an orientation tour of the organisation early in August. “They were impressed with what we do and the different types of accommodation offered,” said Jackie Scott, Thornhill Manor’s deputy complex manager.

Thornhill Manor is one of four retirement villages run by Rand Aid, which also has under its umbrella two care centres, a home for the aged deaf and deafblind and a substance abuse centre.
