Writers 2000 workshop and meeting

This month, Writers 2000 offers two interesting and informative events.

The first one is a workshop on improving communication skills and it will be conducted by W2000 member Jake van der Wilden.

The primary objective of the workshop is to get delegates to examine their perceptions of effective communication, the common causes of communication failure and how to avoid the common mistakes of confusing data, information and communication.

The workshop is a participation exercise that challenges stereotypes of communication.

Participants should come with pen and paper.

The event will start at 10am till 12:30pm on August 26.

The fee for members is R100 and for non-members R200.

In the afternoon, Dr Renate Volpe will talk about co-authoring a book with multiple contributors – Senseless Sacrifice.

Non-members are also welcome.

There’s a door fee of R20 per person and tea/coffee with snacks will be served.

The afternoon event will start at 1:30pm for 2pm at Inyoni Creek Club House, corner of Modderfontein & Wordsworth Roads, Lyndhurst. (the next robot down the hill from Edenvale Hospital).
