“After that, we decided that the school needed its own library and a proposal was sent out to all the stakeholders including the School Governing Body (SGB). We started fundraising to build the library,” said Bellingham.

She said a lot of work went into building the library.

Lenka Dahile, SGB member thanked the fundraising committee for working hard and making sure the money for building the library was raised. He also urged pupils to make use of the library and to always be hungry to learn.

Dr Rona Mawela, from the Institutional Development and Support Officers, was the guest of honour at the event. She congratulated the school for building the library.

“I want to applaud the SGB for building the library because it shows good governance. By building this library you are encouraging the learners to drop everything else and learn,” said Mawela.
