Blues to brighten your day

Edenglen High drum majorettes, known as “The Blues” will perform at this year’s Edenvale City Improvement District Festival of Lights.
The team, which consists of 45 young girls, recently placed fifth overall in the South African National Drum Majorette and Cheerleading Championships in Durban.
Seven members of the team have also achieved Gauteng colours, while four have achieved SAMCA colours, and one has her Protea Colours.
“The team has competed against the best of the best at the championships, and we are exceptionally proud of the growth and results during the 2017 season,” said Cindy Tilley, chair lady of the team.
Community members can see the Blues in action on November 25 at the ECID Festival of Lights as well as other great acts and performances.
