SPCA golf day a success

"People in Edenvale love animals,"

What could be better than enjoying yourself on a warm winter’s day, out in the sun, playing a round of golf?

On July 27 community members came out in full support of Edenvale SPCA’s first ever golf day.

The golf day was held as a fund-raiser for the organisation.

Julianne Kriel, one of the organisers of the event, said the response from the community was good.

“People in Edenvale love animals,” explained Julianne.

Chairperson of the Edenvale SPCA Belinda Bass, said she was humbled by the response from the community.

She elaborated that the Edenvale SPCA took advantage of its social media platform to garner support from the community.

Belinda said the main highlight of the day was the generosity of the people who gave despite the tough economic times.
