She also stated that social media was a leading cause of most domestic squabbles.

The NEWS took to the streets to ask some of our readers if they believe that social media contributes to domestic violence and this is what they had to say.

 

Karyn Kubayi said, “Yes social media does contribute to domestic violence because people do things they are not supposed to do, such as flirting and sending inappropriate messages.”
Scelo Masuku said,” I do believe that social media has the potential to ruin relationships.”
