Jeppe athlete racing to success

Ntuthuko will competing in the CAA African Youth Championships in Equatorial Guinea between June 29 and July 2.

Three Jeppe High School for Boys athletes recently qualified to compete at the 2017 ASA U/18 (youth) and U/20 (junior) Track and Field Championships.

The three learners from Jeppe High School for Boys, Ntuthuko Ndimande, Lesedi Moloto and Mzwakhe Mashaba, competed in the championships at Cape Town during the Easter holidays.

Lesedi placed eighth in the U/15 long jump, while Mzwakhe placed fourth in the U/15 1 500m and third in the U/15 3 000 metre event.

Ntuthuko performed exceptionally well and won the U18 800m race and achieved a time of 1:49:69.

Ntuthuko is 15 years old.

His age qualifies him to compete in U/18 division again next year.

Ntuthuko will compete in the CAA African Youth Championships in Equatorial Guinea between June 29 and July 2.

He has also qualified to compete in the IAAF World Youth Championships to be held in Nairobi, Kenya from July 12 to 16.

Jeppe High School for Boys is extremely proud of this young man and encourages him to continue training hard in order to keep attaining these phenomenal results.
