Jeppe Quondam Club was recently visited by two Randburg Football Academy soccer players.
The pair, Luke Doyle and Roddy Chakaipa, were training in the area to hone their skills as goal keepers.
At their training on April 15, the pair were under the guidance of Alan Marcus, who is a professional goalkeeper coach and Puma brand ambassador.
As part of the pair’s training, Luke and Roddy would alternate the role of goalkeeper.
The goalkeeper would then attempt to stop the other player from scoring goals.
Caren, Luke’s mother, said the trio came to the Edenvale area as most of the usual training facilities in Randburg were closed for the Easter holidays.
She said her son was preparing for the upcoming academy league.
Caren explained that Luke plays for the junior side while Roddy plays for the senior side.
