Bob takes presidency again
The induction took place in Thornhill Manor’s main hall and was attended by 70 members and guests.
Mr Bob Davies was recently inducted as president of the Thornhill Probus Club for a second consecutive year.
Past President Des Edgar performed the induction and presented Bob with the chain of office and the Probus charter.

Special guests included Garth Trumble, President of the Edenvale Rotary Club and his wife Jane, and Ken Warburton, past Rotary President and his wife Di, who have not missed a single Thornhill Manor induction dinner in 13 years.
Toasts to South Africa, Probus and Rotary international were proposed by Ken Warburton, Bob Davies and Garth Trumble respectively.
The popularity of the Thornhill Probus Club was highlighted, along with President Bob’s report back to members.
The Thornhill Probus Club was inaugurated in 2003 under the auspices of the Rotary Club of Edenvale to promote fellowship among retired people with like-minded interests.
