Roll up to this challenge

“Together we can make a huge difference for people with disabilities."

Little Eden Society, with support from Classic FM. is calling upon all CEOs and company executives to show their support for individuals with disabilities.

To show their support, CEOs are urged to participate in the Wheelchair Obstacle Race which the society plans to host.

According to Ms Nichollette Muthige, the public relations and communications officer, the event aims to be a fundraiser for Little Eden and create awareness for people with special needs.

The event will take place on March 25 at Holy Rosary School.

To enter, each company must contribute R50 000 to Little Eden and purchase a wheelchair to use during the obstacle race.

Ms Muthige said at the end of the campaign, all wheelchairs used will be handed over to Little Eden who will donate them to underprivileged children and adults in the local townships.

“Together we can make a huge difference for people with disabilities. Take advantage of this opportunity to have fun with staff, family or friends,” said Ms Muthige.

All proceeds raised through the CEO wheelchair obstacle campaign will go towards the cost of caring for the residents at the society.

“Currently, it costs Little Eden R11 000 every month to care for each resident. The majority of the residents at the centre have been abandoned and have no families to contribute towards the cost of their care,” said Ms Muthige.

To register for the race, or for more information about the campaign, phone Zai Miller on 011 609-0492 or 072 127 8237.
