Van Zyl wins R1.9-m BMW i8 at SA Open

"I’d trade 20 of these babies for the title, but who says I can’t have both.”

Jaco van Zyl won the R1.9-million BMW i8 this morning in the second round of the BMW SA Open hosted by the City of Ekurhuleni and Glendower Country Club.

Jaco aced the 204 metre par-three 17th with a four-iron for his 16th career ace. Jaco said the only prize he ever won before was an Alfred Dunhill fountain pen for a hole-in-one at the Alfred Dunhill Championship. Of course, he also recorded the second hole-in-one in Olympic Golf history in Rio last year.

Asked if he had to choose between the BMW i8 and the title, he replied: “I’d trade 20 of these babies for the title, but who says I can’t have both.”
