The Holy Rosary High School’s matric class of 2016 achieved a 100 percent pass rate, a 100 percent bachelor degree pass and 23 distinctions.
Of special mention is the school’s top academic achiever, Karin Lee, who obtained 10 distinctions and was also awarded the Dux Scholarum Prize for top academic achievement in 2016.
Further top achievements came from Alexia Pascolo, who joins Lee in ranking in the top five of Independent Examinations Board (IEB) learners in six or more subjects.
Michelle Antonio and Megan Ayles also achieved results within the top one percent of IEB learners per subject.
Mrs Belinda Damhuis, high school principal, congratulated the matrics on their results and said she was proud of them.
“In my eyes, you are all superstars,” said Mrs Damhuis.
Ashleigh McCurrach obtained eight distinctions.
Cailin van Ginkel obtained four distinctions.
Megan Ayles obtained six distinctions.
Ashly Fowler achieved five distinctions.
Caitlin Williams achieved four distinctions.
Alexia Pascolo achieved eight distinctions.
Adrienne Buffey achieved five distinctions.
Regan Saunders obtained six distinctions.
Charmaine Chakawodza achieved four distinctions.
Ropafadzai Jawa achieved six distinctions.
Siobhan McLoskey achieved five distinctions.
Micaela Dunn achieved six distinctions.
Michelle Antonio achieved six distinctions.
Julieanne Ferreira finished off the year with four distinctions.
Jaime De Carvalho finished her matric year with four distinctions.
Carey Berning obtained seven distinctions.
Ashleigh James obtained four distinctions.
Monique de Bastos obtained seven distinctions.
