Five Holy Rosary High School pupils have been selected to be among the 15 finalists of the Miss Teen Social Entrepreneur South Africa.
This fundraising initiative was developed by Mrs Africa finalist 2016, Mrs Tarryn Ogle.
The programme raises awareness about social responsibility and teaches entrepreneurship skills.
This year, the initiative has partnered with Dignity Dreams, to raise funds and awareness of the estimated four million underprivileged girls who do not have the basic necessities for their menstrual cycle.
Dignity Dreams manufactures and distributes feminine washable sanitaryware. The school will be holding a civvies day, where the funds collected will go towards this project.
