Busamed Modderfontein Private Hospital Orthopaedic and Oncology Centre opened its doors to the public on September 1, 2016.

Busamed Modderfontein Private Hospital Orthopaedic and Oncology Centre opened its doors to the public on September 1, 2016.

Busamed is a private hospital operating group with six bed licences at present across South Africa.

The hospital is situated at 4 Cransley Crescent, Long Lake Ext 12 in Linbro Park.

Ms Madeleine Goncalves, marketing manager said, the hospital is a 170 bed acute facility which comprises of a wide range of specialities.

The hospital has the following disciplines:

  •  24-hour Emergency Centre, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Internal Medicine / Physicians, Intensivist / Pulmonologist, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Nephrology, Oncology (Radiation and Medical), Orthopaedic Surgery, Paediatrics, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Sports Medicine, Thoracic Surgery, Urology and a travel clinic.
  •  Auxiliary support services include Audiology, Biokinetics, Dietician, Pathology, Physiotherapy, Radiology, Occupational Therapy, Orthotist/Prosthetist as well as a retail pharmacy.

“We have eight state-of-the-art operating theatres and speciality wards, including an adult and a paediatric intensive care unit as well as a high care unit.
