Edenvale pupils take on Gauteng’s best

After playing six games to determine their ranking in Gauteng, the Edenvale High School U/17A team was placed 10th in Gauteng.

After competing in the school netball league, the U/17A netball team from Edenvale High School took part in the Ekurhuleni play-offs.

Schools from Springs, Boksburg, Alberton and Edenvale participated.

The school’s U/14A, U/16A and first team also took part.

The U/17A team beat Hoƫrskool Kempton Park in the super league and was placed fourth in Ekurhuleni.

The team then competed in the Gauteng Championships, which saw the top four schools from each area in Gauteng competing.

After playing six games to determine their ranking in Gauteng, the Edenvale High School U/17A team was placed 10th in Gauteng.

The team played two days of netball to determine their place in Gauteng, playing a total of six games, winning three and losing three.

The Edenvale team beat Driehoek 13-5, Florida 18-7 as well as Vereeniging Gimnasium 19-15.

The local team lost to Noordheuwel 10-16, Garsfontein 8-15 and Eldoraine 12-16.
