‘Support for beggars encourages syndicates’

'It would be more beneficial to donate to the churches and established charities in order to help the less fortunate.'

EDITOR – I write this letter to ask residents not to support beggars.

This just encourages crime, enables child trafficking and keeps the syndicates in business.

It would be more beneficial to donate to the churches and established charities in order to help the less fortunate.

We have ongoing challenges with beggars being arrested for crimes and placing the lives of children on the road in danger.

By giving money we are keeping people on the streets and this will eventually endanger our families and community.

Women and children are being exploited, babies and disabled people are used as sympathy props in order to get money.

This is inhumane and abusive and we need to do our small part in ending this.

Let us work together as a community to make a safe environment and help in the fight against injustice.
