Shopping centre spreads the love

Groceries and stationery packs were donated for the children at the Epworth Children’s Home.

The Greenstone Shopping Centre management partnered with Hamleys SA to answer the call to action to honour the late President Nelson Mandela’s life’s work.

The beneficiaries were the Edenvale Hospital Paediatric section, the Epworth Children’s Village and the Edenvale SPCA.

The Hamleys team was a hit with both the little patients at the hospital and the little ones at the Epworth Children’s Home.

“Each child received a colouring book, crayons and a cuddly bear from Greenstone’s management, as well as a Hamleys party pack with toys, treats and a balloon. Songs for the children, sung by the group, could be heard merrily down the corridors of the children’s ward, brightening up the day,” said Ms Charmain Qofela from Greenstone Shopping Centre.

Groceries and stationery packs were donated for the children at the Epworth Children’s Home.

“The older children were back at school for their first day of the term, however the little ones had a good time singing all their favourite songs and playing with the Hamleys characters,” said Ms Qofela.

Bags of dog food, cat litter, treats and dog blankets were donated to the Edenvale SPCA by Greenstone, Absolute Pets and Pick n Pay.
