Residents offer to help after Aloe Ridge fire

Greenstone residents rallied to help those affected by the fire at Aloe Ridge 2 Complex in Greenstone Hill.

Greenstone residents rallied to help those affected by a fire at the Aloe Ridge 2 complex in Greenstone Hill last night.

Hours after the fire broke out on July 5, an aid campaign began on social media.

Residents have been urged to assist the fire victims with donations as they have lost most of their belongings. Donations can be left with the Estate Manager, Mr Mark Schutte, at Aloe Ridge 2, Stoneridge Drive.

“On behalf of the family, a very sincere thank you for your kind offers of assistance, as this family has lost 95 percent of their belongings. We suggest that donations of gift vouchers would probably be the most suitable. Should anyone wish to donate food, we suggest non-perishables,” said Mr Schutte.
