Two caught for burglary

"The police officers chased the suspects, leading to their arrests."

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a residential burglary that occurred in the Edenvale area.

“The two men, in their 30s, were arrested on June 7 at 12pm when the Edenvale SAPS received a complaint of a housebreaking in progress in Elma Park, Edenvale,” said the Edenvale SAPS communications officer, Warrant Officer Jean Olckers.

“On the way to the scene, members of the SAPS noticed the two suspects, who had jumped over the wall and were fleeing the scene,” said W/O Olckers.

The police officers chased the suspects, leading to their arrests, after searching them.

W/O Olckers said that some of the stolen property was found in their possession. It was also discovered that they had broken into a house in Elma Park.

“Other property was also recovered from the suspects. The men were detained at the Edenvale SAPS station and will appear in court soon,” said W/O Olckers.
