Sector four – a reality

At a meeting held on May 17, the newly developed sector four was announced.
One of the areas that will fall under sector four is the Greenstone area.
According to Mrs Linda Mckenzie, chairperson of the Edenvale CPF, the meeting saw 50 people attend for the explanation and discussion of sector four.
On May 21 the six patrollers of sector four joined the Edenvale Community Police Forum and a SAPS Constable to patrol the area.
Mrs Linda Mckenzie, chairperson of the Edenvale CPF said the patrollers were called out to a shootout near a veld in the Illiondale area.
“Another patrol and the election of sector four resident managers will be held in the near future,” said Mrs Mckenzie.
“Although the formulation of sector four was a joint decision by SAPS and the community members,the community played a large role in its establishment,” said Edenvale SAPS acting communications officer Warrant Officer Jean Olckers.
