Edenvale Rotary hosts information session

Rotary helped to make that moment, and other moments like it, possible.

The Edenvale Rotary Club recently held an information evening.

In his presentation, Rotarian Andy Lowe gave an overview of the history of Rotary International and specifically the projects of the Edenvale club.

He shared a poignant moment which he called his “Rotary moment”, when a little boy of eight at an after care facility in Alex picked up a book from the shelf and sat down to read.

Rotary helped to make that moment, and other moments like it, possible.

Guest speaker on the night, Dr Sandy Evans, gave an informative, easy to understand talk about the Chemistry of an Angry Moment.

Guests were able to learn what happens to their physiology, how they can protect themselves from such moments and how to stay healthy.

The club needs new members in order to continue its essential work and extended an invitation to any person who would like to find out more about the club and the work it does.

Guests are invited to attend the Edenvale Rotary Club’s meetings and enjoy a meal.

Anyone who is interested can come along to meet the team.

The Edenvale Rotary Club meets every Monday at 6.30pm at the Dickie Fritz Moth Hall situated along Dickie Fritz Avenue in Dowerglen, Edenvale.
