International volunteers help out

The organisation has been assisting Little Eden by finding suitable, long-term volunteers to assist.

Little Eden is happy to have the assistance of two new volunteers, Jennifer Charles and Ophélie Darras.

The pair arrived on March 8 and the society welcomed the volunteers, who both come from France.

The two women will be with Little Eden for the next two years.

Little Eden is home to 300 children and adults who have profound intellectual disabilities.

The majority of the residents have been abandoned and these individuals require a lot of care and attention, however the majority come from indigent families, or poor families in need.

The society of Little Eden is grateful for the continued partnership between themselves and Fidesco, an organisation that recruits, trains and sends volunteers to complete two-year missions, whereby volunteers assist in under-served areas.
