UPDATE: Health department awaits information on allegations against hospital

Pregnant woman who lost her baby was allegedly turned away from Edenvale Hospital without assistance in having the fetus removed.

Gauteng Department of Health awaits more information on allegations this afternoon that a pregnant woman who lost her baby, was turned away from Edenvale Hospital without assistance in having the fetus removed from her womb.

The department’s head of communication, Mr Steve Mabona said the department is awaiting more information.

At the time of publishing it’s first article, the NEWS reported the head of communications for the department could not provide comment as he was in a meeting.
