Edenvale High School joins prestigious programme

The school is proud to join and grow the 14 300 participants currently registered in South Africa.

Edenvale High School (EHS) was recently appointed an official Award Unit for the Prestigious President’s Award (TPA) programme.

The TPA is an empowerment initiative, designed to develop the positive values and skills of young people between the ages of 14 to 24.

Its aim is to enhance the current and future contribution of youth to society. It was implemented at EHS for the first time this year.

The school is proud to join and grow the 14 300 participants currently registered in South Africa.

Pupils who register with the TPA and participate in community service, cultural, sporting and other prescribed activities, are eligible to be awarded bronze, silver and gold medals.

The programme is an offshoot of the internationally acclaimed Duke of Edinburgh International Award, resulting in prestigious certification that is held in high esteem by universities and employers alike across the globe.

Edenvale High School strongly supports the ethos encouraged by The President’s Award and as such, principal Dr Larry Harmer is urging pupils to join the programme as an investment in their future.

EHS envisions all enrolled pupils being registered within the next few years and encourages other schools to follow suit.
