Resident thanks community

We would like to thank all of these wonderful people for being so caring.

EDITOR – The support in my community was greatly appreciated after my husband lost the house and office keys.

On his way to work, he had forgotten that he left the sets of keys on the car roof on November 25.

Naturally, the keys had fallen somewhere in Dunvegan Avenue/Amelia Street but he only realised this upon arriving at his office.

My husband, the domestic worker and I combed the neighbourhood.

We eventually asked the local domestic workers about the keys and requested it be left at the security booms. We also put up notices in the neighbourhood.

On Thursday afternoon we were contacted by a domestic worker, Ms Victoria, whose friend Ms Joyce had found the keys and gave it to her as she works close to the boom. Victoria handed over the keys to the security guard on duty. He gave it to the day-shift guard who then passed the keys on to the night-shift patrol car, driven by Mr Colin. Mr Colin phoned us to assure us that he had our keys and arranged to meet us, where he duly handed over our keys and received his reward, as well as my husband’s unbounded gratitude.

We would like to thank all of these wonderful people for being so caring. The employees of Top Security were very kind and concerned, the people from 24/7 Security Services who returned our keys to us were also incredibly helpful. So many people warned us that we should change the locks right away as the keys could fall into the wrong hands. They didn’t, they fell into the hands of honest, trustworthy citizens whom my husband and I would like to thank for their help and support during rather a traumatic two days.

DUNVEGAN,
