Arbor Village to host Christmas market

In the spirit of the season, Arbor Village’s choir will be singing Christmas carols too.

After the success of the Arbor Village’s annual summer fête every September, the home for the aged will hold its first Christmas market.

The Christmas market will be held at Arbor Village on Saturday, November 28, from 4pm to 8pm.

Arbor Village is a Methodist retirement home and frail-care facility in Bedfordview.

At the market, children can meet Santa Clause while parents shop for Christmas decorations, top-quality homemade Christmas cakes and mince pies, as well as a variety of Christmas gifts.

In the spirit of the season, Arbor Village’s choir will be singing Christmas carols too.

Arbor Village will use the funds raised at the event to continue catering for the needs of the aged.

With improved medical care and better nutrition, people are living longer than they did before and often longer than they expected.

However, the cost of living and frail care continues to rise while pensions often do not. In addition, many children cannot support their elderly parents when they need frail-care for longer than they anticipated.

The Arbor Village Methodist Home for the Aged is situated at the corner of Smith and Bradford roads in Bedfordview.
