Scouts show their worth

The Scouts set up a first class campsite built from ropes and poles, including tables, a gateway and a flagpole which they were then judged on.

Members of the 1st Bedfordview Scout Troop recently took part in the Northrand District Competition Camp and First Aid Competition.

The Scouts set up a first class campsite built from ropes and poles, including tables, a gateway and a flagpole which they were then judged on.

The Scouts also took part in a series of fun competitions, including cooking, boating and first aid.

The troop achieved a third place in the first aid competition and a fourth place in the camping competition.

The competition was themed around the well-known Adventures of Asterix the Gaul, and the team entered into the spirit of things with Gaulic helmets and roast pork for dinner.
