Edenvale resident Mr Mark Berkowitz is searching for his stolen stationary engine.
He said the machine was stolen from his home two weeks ago.
It was manufactured in 1928 and weighs between 150kg to 165kg.
“It could not have been carried out of my yard hence a vehicle must have been used to load the machine,” he said.
Mr Berkowitz said that the machine has sentimental value and holds memories of his younger days.
“It was used on our small holding in the Eastern Cape to pump water. It was mechanically restored and brought up to Johannesburg years ago.”
