Men rob house – no weapon seen

According to the SAPS, the domestic worker did not see a weapon during the house robbery.

Three men ordered a domestic worker to look away during a house robbery on Bayne Street in Cyridene.

The incident took place on Friday, August 28, shortly before 1pm.

The Cleveland SAPS communications officer, Constable Mpho Mashakane, said a domestic worker was cleaning when she saw three men inside the lounge.

“The men ordered her to lie down and to not look at them. They then ransacked the house and took clothing, electrical appliances and an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the scene,” she said.

Const Mashakane said the domestic worker did not see any weapon.

Const Mashakane said the preliminary investigation had revealed that the men removed a small gate from the wall to gain entry.
