Tough but rewarding day Toni

In the second lap, Toni rode with the asthma pump the doctor had given her to assist with her breathing, which was proving to be a problem at times.

Round 5 of the 2015 Liquorland National Enduro Championship took place in Estcourt recently.

Despite racing with bronchitis, Edenvale resident Toni Jardine pushed through and had a solid day on the bike.

The day consisted of three specials; a short grass special, a six kilometre enduro special and another long enduro special.

Toni started on row 11.

She had to work hard to stay focused and completed the lap without any issues.

In the second lap, Toni rode with the asthma pump the doctor had given her to assist with her breathing, which was proving to be a problem at times.

The last lap Toni was determined.

Toni achieved her goal for the day and managed to finish the full course with no penalties.

“It was a tough day in the saddle for me racing with bronchitis, but I pushed through and finished the full distance with no penalties which I’m happy with. Now it is time to rest and get better before the next race,” said Toni.
