UPDATE: Journalists overstep ethical boundaries for information on Mr Corrie Le Grange

Journalists coerce doctors and nurses for information.

Journalists overstepped ethical boundaries when pretending to be family members of Mr Corrie Le Grange.

The family spokesperson, Mr Mark Porter, informed the NEWS that the family was disappointed to find out that some journalists impersonated family members to get access to information from the nurses and doctors.

Mr Le Grange was discharged from ICU on July 7, after the NEWS previously reported that Mr Le Grange was in ICU and not in a stable condition.

The family is more hopeful as they see positive progress.

“The ICU caregivers have been great, providing the best possible treatment and keeping the family informed of all developments, at all hours,” said Mr Porter.

“He’s made good progress against his infections,” he said.

“Corrie is out of ICU and he is receiving the treatment he needs,” said his fiancĂ©, Ms Shammy Rademeyer.

According to Mr Porter, Mr Le Grange is now eating on his own. The doctors requested that Mr Le Grange move as much as possible as it helps with the recovery process.

Mr Le Grange’s home bed has been removed. The doctors also asked for his couch to be brought to the hospital so that he can change position.
