Edenvale remains top of the log

Edenvale’s U/17 soccer team drew 1-1 against the Highlands recently.

Coach Byron Daniels said football is a lot like chess as it requires patience.

“You have to have a strategy and the players need to listen,” he said.

“Most of the time, as a player, you think you know it all. As a coach, if you have a team that believes in you, they’ll fight for you,” he said.

The Edenvale team is currently at the top of its league and the players are determined to remain at the top.

“Every game is a learning curve; we always move forward after every game,” said Daniels.
