Zumba instructor, Ms Winnette van Niekerk from Edenvale, recently held a winter blanket drive.
The participants of Zumba Edenvale and Dinwiddie donated blankets for both the Tarentaal and IMPAK homes.
20 fleece blankets were donated to the children, who are between the ages of eight to 16 years old.
“We held a Zumba Kids class with them, which was followed by a small party after the session. We were entertained by the children from the home, who performed a dance for us,” said Ms van Niekerk.
The home is under the guardianship of the AFM Church in Edenvale.
“After spending the morning with the children, we left the home feeling humbled and grateful. We will keep on supporting this venture as much as we can,” she said.
The fellow instructors who helped Ms van Niekerk included Claudi Vedda from Zumba Dinwiddie and Devlin Muzorewa.
