CPF thanks community

The chairperson for the BCPF, Mr Gavin Henry, called on the public to donate money in order to assist the family of a six-year-old girl who was poisoned and died.

The Bedfordview SAPS, together with the Bedfordview Community Policing Forum (BCPF), thanked members of the community for heeding the calls for help last week.

The chairperson for the BCPF, Mr Gavin Henry, called on the public to donate money in order to assist the family of a six-year-old girl who was poisoned and died.

It is alleged the mother poisoned her daughter.

“A big thank you to the Bedfordview community for the generous assistance given to the family. We were able to pay for the funeral in full and the family is tremendously grateful. Thank you to Karen and David Kelly from House of Flowers, who kindly provided the flowers. Without your help, this would not have been possible,” said Mr Henry.

According to SAPS, the girl’s mother has been arrested.

The girl was a grade 1 pupil at Klopperpark Primary School.
