Sebenza business forum resurrected

The meeting was widely attended by business owners in the Sebenza area.

In a bid to resurrect a partnership between the business community and the police, the Sebenza SAPS convened a Business Forum Meeting on Wednesday, January 28.

The Sebenza SAPS communications manager, Constable Sharon Mahamba-Tsotsotso, said the forum was established in previous years but died down.

The meeting was widely attended by business owners in the Sebenza area.

The objective of the organisation is to create a platform were businesses and the police can have free-flowing discourse on how best they can work together to protect the area.

She said the forum will be held every second week of the month.

On the day, Const Tsotsotso said the organisation elected a new committee which will ensure that operations function effectively.

The newly elected committee members are Kobus Oboborhozz (chairman), Ras Chetty (deputy chairperson), Anore Lomrink (secretary) and Silvio Ferrarif (treasurer).
