Record results for Saheti

“No great thing is created suddenly” - Epictetus

The matric results achieved by Saheti’s class of 2014 are the best to date, and reflect the success of the academic foundation laid over the school’s 40-year history.

For the students, their individual academic achievement is the result of 12 years of quality schooling and sustained hard work on their part, with the support of their teachers and parents.

Holistic education is not simply about results, but also about the character and values that a school aspires to develop within its students.

Saheti is a school that upholds the values and traditions of Hellenic culture, and being part of Saheti has the added blessing of being part of the Greek community.

The executive headmaster of Saheti, Mr Warwick Taylor said, “Our class of 2014 embodied all of what we had hoped for: they displayed confidence but not arrogance; humility but not weakness; knowledge of self, but not self-centred. Quality education teaches students to “know thyself” (the school’s motto) but also to treat others with respect and dignity, and from this foundation we have the basis of sound, fair discipline.

“We send our 2014 matrics out into society with both our blessing and our confidence to continue to develop and reach their full potential.

“The outstanding achievements below deserve a single word – Bravo!”

Saheti’s 2014 matriculants achieved 185 distinctions, with an average distinction rate of 3,03 per candidate, while maintaining the school’s unbroken 100 percent pass rate. The top achievers included one student with 10 distinctions, three with nine distinctions, four with eight distinctions, two with seven distinctions and numerous others. Three students were ranked in the top 5 percent of the IEB’s candidates nationally.
