Families celebrate Christmas at Horwood’s Farm

One of the attendees said, "I love such events. This is a perfect day out with the family, except that I will leave broke."

The Edenvale City Improvement District (ECID) hosted the Edenvale Christmas Festival last Saturday to much fanfare.

Horwood’s Farm played host to the event, which attracted crowds from Edenvale as well as neighbouring suburbs.

Revellers, young and old, were treated to music by live bands and local DJs. Jumping castles were also available for children.

Gates opened at 10am, with a Christmas market, followed by carols by candlelight later in the evening.

One of the attendees said, “I love such events. This is a perfect day out with the family, except that I will leave broke.”

Another attendee shared the same sentiment, congratulating the organisers for the successful day.

“Everything they promised on the flyers is here and more. I love the food stalls. I have tasted new flavours and and will be taking home new recipes from all the foods I’ve eaten. It was an enjoyable day for myself, my wife and children and we cannot wait to return for the next instalment of the the same,” added the father of two.

Some of the exhibitors included representatives from the Scouts and Girl Guides South Africa, and the Senior Citizens Society.
