Tennis stars shine in local tournament
In the B Section of the tournament, Matthew Ellis from Bedfordview Primary School finished in first place while Hurlyvale Primary School pupil, Alex Milikidis, finished in second place.
The Ted Roberts Junior Tennis Tournament was held during the October school holidays.
Michael Milikidis, a pupil at Edenvale High School, was placed first in the A Section of the competition.
Second place in the section went to Tristan East also from Edenvale High School, while Donald Fowler from King Edward School finished in third and Tristan Gastill from Edenvale High School came in fourth.

Third place in the B Section went to Cartria Van Eck from Dunvegan Primary School with Bedfordview Primary School’s Erin Platt finishing in fourth place.
Luke Lessing from Hurlyvale Primary School won the C Section of the tournament while Morgan Robertson from Dunvegan Primary School finished in second place.
Third place in the tournament’s C Section went to Daniel Cloete from Laerskool MW De Wet Primary while Calvin Chen from Dunvegan Primary School took home a fourth place finish.
Prizes for the most improved tennis player went to Hannah van Eck and Joshua Swart.
