Six men rob security technician working at Bedfordview home

A technician was approached by an unknown security guard who asked him where the home owners were.

The Bedfordview SAPS confirmed that a house robbery took place on Russell Road in Bedfordview on Monday, September 22.

According to the Bedfordview SAPS communications officer, Sergeant Mduduzi Nhlabathi, “A man was installing security beams outside a house. He was approached by an unknown security guard who asked him where the home owners were. The man informed the security guard that they were not home.”

“Approximately five minutes later, a white BMW stopped at the house and six armed men exited the vehicle. The suspects pointed firearms at the man, pushed him towards the house and locked him in a room,” said Sgt Nhlabathi.

The men broke into the house and stole various items, including jewellery, clothes, alcohol and appliances.

Investigations are ongoing and no arrests have been made.
