Shop robbed by four men

The Bedfordview SAPS was dispatched to the scene of an armed robbery at a business premises in Meadowdale on Tuesday, September 8. The incident took place at 12-noon. According to the Bedfordview SAPS communications officer, Sergeant Mduduzi Nhlabathi, “A shop employee went to buy her lunch from a nearby shop. When she returned, she noticed her colleague speaking to four armed men inside the business premises.” “The employee went to press the panic button but one of robbers noticed her and pointed a firearm at her. The suspect told her to stop what she was doing and demanded that she join her colleague,” said Sgt Nhlabathi. The men then demanded cellular phones and the employees handed over five phones. The men put the cellular phones in a bag and fled the scene. No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing. @BedfordJourno
