Officer makes drug related arrested

When the officer conducted the search, he found a plastic bag containing white powder in the man's pants.

A 38-year-old man was arrested by the Sebenza SAPS for possession of dagga at Harrison Avenue in Sebenza on Tuesday, August 16.

According to the Sebenza SAPS communications officer, Constable Sharon Mahamba, “The arrest was made after an on-duty officer patrolling in the area stopped a white Hyundai. The officer noticed that the driver was nervous and appeared to be hiding something. The officer asked the man to step out of the vehicle so that he could search him,” said Const Mahamba.

“When the officer conducted the search, he found a plastic bag containing white powder in the man’s pants. The officer asked what the white substance was and the driver admitted to the powder being drugs,” said Const Mahamba.

The officer arrested the man. Police investigations are ongoing and the man is expected to appear in the Germiston court. @BedfordJourno
