And the day arrived – Edenvale youth march against drugs

School pupils kick of Tiles4Change march from Horwood's Farm.

Edenvale showcased its community spirit with the kick off to the Tiles4Change march this morning from Horwood’s Farm.

About 1 500 school pupils took Edenvale’s streets in a demonstration against drug abuse, human trafficking, domestic violence and bullying in schools.

The 2014 Tiles4Change march gained momentum with the addition of Spar Group and the Edenvale Rand Road Warriors as sponsors.

Members of the community and businesses were invited to attend the march which kicked off at 10am.

Today’s march will include several events such as a hijacking demonstration.  Once at the centre later today, the pupils, parents and other campaign supporters will be asked to buy a tile to show their support for the initiative.

All funds raised today will go towards Tiles4Change and will be used in various forms to educate pupils and promote a drug-free Edenvale.
